Lucas Ruiz
Director
Doctor en geología por la Universidad de Buenos Aires, investigador independiente del CONICET en el IANIGLA, Argentina, y glaciólogo especialista en Geoestudios, Chile. Fue autor principal del capítulo "Cambio en el océano, la criósfera y el nivel del mar" del Sexto Informe de Evaluación (AR6) del IPCC. Miembro del Consejo de la Sociedad Internacional de Glaciología. Supervisor de estudiantes de grado, de maestría y de doctorado. Organizador del curso de posgrado “Glaciología de los Andes del Sur”, dictado desde 2014 en el IANIGLA, con el apoyo del CONICET y de la Sociedad Internacional de Glaciología. Actualmente, su trabajo se centra en estudiar el impacto del cambio climático en la criósfera de los Andes para producir información clave que oriente la toma de decisiones orientadas a su preservación.
